ACC College Connection Scholarship

***********Scholarship Deadline April 1st ***************

It is time once again for seniors who plan on attending Austin Community College to apply for the College Connection Scholarship for the 2015-2016 school year. Each scholarship is $2500 for tuition, fees and books. Students qualify for the scholarship by participating in the College Connection program, holding a 2.25 high school GPA or higher, and submitting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). An unofficial transcript will need to be submitted.

Students can link to the online application at www.austincc.edu/scholarships  and use their ACCeID and password provided through the College Connection process to log in. After completing a short application and providing an essay, those that qualify will be reviewed for the College Connection Scholarship and any others for which they meet the criteria. We need your assistance to get students to apply by the April 1st deadline. It is our hope that these scholarships continue to open the door to higher education.

As mentioned above, the application is also used to award additional scholarship opportunities to incoming ACC freshmen.  The scholarships listed on the attachment reward students who have successfully mixed academics with extra-curricular, community involvement, and/or employment.  Fifty-three 2014 area high school graduates are currently on scholarship and we hope to award even more for 2015.  There is also a freshman flyer attached.  We would be very appreciative if it could be displayed on your campus.

Round Rock ISD 2015 graduates are also eligible for the Rotary Club of Round Rock scholarships which are each $2500.  Once students declare on their scholarship application that they attend a Round Rock ISD high school, they will be automatically considered for these scholarships.

It is our hope to continually increase the number of scholarship applications we receive from incoming freshmen.  Please let me know if there is anything I can assist with at your school.  I look forward to working with you and we greatly appreciate your assistance with this process each year.  Should you have any questions, feel free to call me at 512-223-7743 or e-mail me at aschuber@austincc.edu.

Sincerely,

Ann Schubert
