It's time for another edition of Cowboy Connection from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Oklahoma State.
It's Not Too Late to Apply!
We are still accepting applications for Fall 2015. Students should complete the online application and submit their leadership experience and essays. As a land-grant university, OSU is committed to identifying and cultivating the leaders of tomorrow. Leadership may not always be demonstrated in traditional ways; therefore we individually review each application for our holistic and alternative admission programs. OSU's comprehensive review considers many factors, including: high school GPA, ACT or SAT scores, responses to application essays, academic letters of recommendation, leadership experience, community involvement, accomplishments and more. Do you know a student whose abilities are not clearly presented on a transcript? Or a student who is selling themselves short because they think an OSU education is out of reach? Encourage them to apply. We will give their application the careful consideration it deserves.

Admitted seniors should be completing their next steps to ensure an easy transition to OSU, including:

 Junior Day | Saturday, April 11
Your students are invited to Junior Day at OSU! We want to help your juniors explore life at OSU. Junior Day is the time to hear how current students are living out their dreams every day, tour campus, meet with OSU representatives and begin planning their future. Encourage your students to sign up today!
Message from Scholarships and Financial Aid
We are communicating with students regarding their FAFSA information, including emails telling students that we need additional information from them or their parent(s). Remind your students who have been admitted to OSU to activate their O-Key accounts and check their OSU email addresses. Students can find more information about O-Key and OSU email online. Please feel free to also share the instructions for accessing the OSU SIS Student Self-Service system with students. The one-page PDF can be found here.
Financial Aid Webinars
Oklahoma State is providing a three-part online series, Understanding College Financial Aid, throughout the year. The final counselor webinar will take place on Tuesday, March 31 at 10 a.m. CT for Oklahoma counselors and 2 p.m. CT for out-of-state counselors. The final student and family webinars will take place Thursday, April 7 at 7 p.m. CT for Oklahoma families, and 8:30 p.m. CT for out-of-state families. You can access previous webinar recordings, as well as registration information for future webinars, at the links below: This is a terrific way to support your students and their families as they prepare to invest and finance their education. We invite you to participate and ask you to encourage your students and their families to join us as well.

A student's time outside of the classroom is also important to their college experience. OSU is committed to helping students be at their best both mentally and physically, providing resources such as the Colvin Recreation Center, University Health Services and the Reboot Center.
